Adeeb Mahmud is a managing director at FSG, where he leads projects on corporate social impact, global development, and philanthropy. He joined FSG in 2006, is a member of the firm’s leadership team, and also leads FSG’s Washington, D.C. office. He brings 15 years of experience in private sector consulting and global development. Mahmud has led corporate philanthropy, corporate responsibility, and shared value engagements with companies across industries, including Abbott, Sanofi, Merck, Novo Nordisk, Mastercard, and Dow Chemical. As part of these and other projects, Adeeb has conducted field-work in Brazil, Ethiopia, India, Israel, Mexico, Nigeria, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Uganda. Other engagements include advising USAID-funded collective impact efforts in Uganda and Cambodia, developing shared value corporate partnership opportunities for Save the Children USA, and identifying ways to accelerate access for drugs, diagnostics, and vaccines on behalf of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Before FSG, Mahmud worked in business development of a start-up biotechnology company in Boston. Previously, he was a management consultant working with global healthcare clients. Mahmud holds a Master’s in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he was selected as a Reynolds Fellow for social entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor’s, cum laude, from Middlebury College.
