Dave Mabie started his thirty-year career in the life sciences industry in technical sales of medical raw materials, later moving into program management, marketing, and director roles for injection molded components and manufacturing of Class ll and Class lll disposable medical devices. From 2006 to 2019, he served as vice president, business development for outsourced manufacturers ATEK Medical (exited to VENTION Medical 2011), followed by Providien (exited to Carlisle CIT 2019) where he assisted the world’s leading medical device companies by shifting manufacturing within the US and to Costa Rica and Mexico for improved quality, lower cost of manufacturing, and supply chain consolidation. To meet demand during his time at ATEK, the company expanded capacity by adding one new manufacturing facility in the United States and two in Costa Rica. In 2010, ATEK was named by Inc. Magazine as a U.S. Top 500 growth company. Mabie is currently an Editorial Advisory Board member for Medical Product Outsourcing magazine. He routinely serves as advisor to leading investment banking and private equity firms looking to establish or grow their investment platforms within the medical device contract manufacturing space, and has served as senior advisor to FOXCONN Medical, a division of FOXCONN—the world’s largest electro-mechanical services provider.
