Kai Kuck, Ph.D., director of Bioengineering and professor of Anesthesiology, University of Utah, has been involved with technology innovation in anesthesia and critical care for 30 years. He spent almost a decade in the medical device industry, most of that time serving as head of research at Dräger. Since joining the University of Utah in 2014, he has been pursuing translational biomedical engineering research and has been involved in a number of smaller companies to commercialize technologies he helped to develop.
