Kerry Tassopoulos is an attorney and public/government affairs professional with 35 years of experience. Licensed as a Texas attorney in 1987, he served in key legal and government relations roles at three companies, including Mary Kay Inc., Excel Communications and Jani-King International.

During his 25-year career at Mary Kay career as director, legal resources and vice president, public affairs he focused on the development, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of the company’s cosmetics and personal care products. His internal clients included product development, product safety, regulatory affairs, marketing, manufacturing operations, distribution, import/export compliance, risk management.

He was also a key member of the public affairs team, representing Mary Kay at the state, federal and international level—from Washington DC, to Sacramento, to Brussels. In this role he also led the corporate communications/CSR and risk management team and was directly involved in legislative/regulatory issues affecting Mary Kay products in the U.S, Canada, the European Union, and Russia.

Kerry has served as the primary Mary Kay representative to the Legal, Government Affairs and International Committees at the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), the Independent Beauty Association (IBA) and Cosmetics Europe (formerly known as COLIPA). He had a key role in numerous PCPC working groups and was directly involved in drafting industry proposals for cosmetics reform legislation.

Kerry founded The Tassopoulos Law Firm to provide established businesses and start-ups with sound advice and excellent client service. His goal is to help businesses succeed as he provides them with the benefit of his substantial experience.
