Seemal R. Desai, MD, FAAD is the President & Medical Director of Innovative Dermatology, PA, in Plano, Texas and Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern. A leading expert in skin of color and pigmentation, Dr. Desai lectures extensively nationally and internationally. He is the author of numerous publications and is frequently quoted in the media. Dr. Desai is the Immediate Past President of the Skin of Color Society, and Past President of the Texas Dermatological Society and Dallas/Ft. Worth Dermatological Society. He has served on the Board of Directors of SkinPAC and currently serves on the AADA Congressional Policy Committee. Dr. Desai was the youngest ever dermatologist elected to the AAD Board of Directors. In 2017, Dr. Desai was appointed to serve on the US Food & Drug Administration, Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC). He also serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical & Aesthetic Dermatology and Pigment International, and other editorial advisory boards.
